Membership
The Head Start Association of Hawaii and the Outer Pacific (HSAH/OP) is committed to providing strong leadership and advocacy to promote quality programs and services for the Head Start community. The HSAH/OP is comprised of Head Start directors, staff, parents and friends.
There are 2 forms of membership in the HSAH/OP:
HSAH/OP Individual Membership
An Individual Membership is an opportunity for a former staff or community member to show his/her support for the mission and vision of the Association. An Individual Membership includes:
- Invitations and reduced registration fees for HSAH/OP-sponsored trainings and conferences
- Email updates from the HSAH/OP President
HSAH/OP Program Membership
Program Membership is designed for Head Start grantees. Program Membership entitles programs to:
- Seamless membership registration with the Region IX Head Start Association and the National Head Start Association
- Reduced staff registration fees for HSAH/OP-sponsored trainings and conferences
- Membership and membership cards for all staff, in addition to one parent selected by the program
- Participation of staff ion HSAH/OP subcommittee/networking groups
- Regular email updates from the President of the HSAH/OP for Directors
- Eligibility for staff scholarships from the national, regional and Hawaii Associations
- Elect HSAH/OP Board of Directors and officers
- For Outer Pacific programs, select reimbursed travel expenses to attend HSAH/OP-sponsored trainings and conferences
All memberships are good for one year. The membership year is July 1-June 30.
Membership in the HSAH/OP assists us in our ongoing mission to provide a powerful voice for low-income children and their families who are able to benefit from the wide array of services and supports that each program supplies.
